The Green Line Public Gardens Scoping Report introduces the topic of ‘Gardens along the Green Line’ and their ability to serve as a network of vibrant, inclusive and resilient spaces. Embracing local ecologies, the planting strategy with a focus on native plants is the requisite accompaniment to surrounding natural landscapes. It explores a diversity of topics, including leveraging private sector investment and partnerships; budget and risks; the role Public Gardens can play in attracting development; improve, link and promote nearby green spaces; and ultimately create a system of green places along the Green Line.
The project is envisioned to be delivered in three phases, comprising of related sub-phases in support of the work, building upon each other toward a final deliverable and implementation strategy. The conclusion of the project will align with contract start for Greenline construction with interface opportunities developed as allowed through construction coordination activities and through available funding.
